Aside from excellent job performance, all Baxton Construction Services, Inc. employees are to make safety their first priority. It is our intention to achieve the greatest practical degree of freedom from recognizable hazards and accidents. In addition, we also need to insure that all employees are provided a safe working environment. Direct and indirect costs are inestimable for the individual and company. Therefore, it is our company’s commitment and ongoing effort to create a safe environment for all employees by significantly reducing or eliminating accidents with the use of every reasonable safety precaution. This is a very challenging objective, but vital to the employees’ morale and the company’s success.
Protection of employees and the general public will be executed by the progressive promotion of safe work practices, which will play a vital role in preventing accidents. Each employee is expected to be in compliance with safety regulations outlined by OSHA, AMS, and any additional safety policies implemented by Baxton Construction Services, Inc. in order to meet these objectives. This responsibility lies in the performance of individual employees and must be a company-wide effort to provide a safe work environment. Together, the employee and company must work as a team to eliminate or minimize accidents.
Commitment to safety is a condition of employment for all employees. In the performance of their duties, employees are expected to observe safety practices, rules and operating procedures, as well as instructions relating to the efficient performance of the work. Achievement of this can only come when all employees are alert and safety-conscious. Baxton Construction Services, Inc. is committed to implementing an effective Safety and Health Program to achieve these goals. The program will consist of formal training for all employees, in addition to weekly on-the-job safety meetings, which will be held to provide training and safety instruction for all employees on our job sites.
Following these procedures will help the company succeed in providing a safe, helpful, and pleasant working environment. All employees are expected to fully cooperate.
